MyMicroGallery is pleased to announce the group exhibition “PIXEL & PAPER A Dialogue in Texture”, featuring eight artists who, through figurative and abstract languages, investigate visible and invisible realities: Tom Bienert, Stefania Carrozzini, Alexandra Kauka, Sara Montani, Tiziana Priori, Serena Rossi, Tiziana Santoli, Susi Zucchi. The exhibition is part of the “Milano Art Week” circuit.
“PIXEL & PAPER A Dialogue in Texture”, explores the tension and harmony between digital and paper, between tangible and intangible worlds, between painting and immaterial sign: a dialogue on different textures, with the aim of showing how these distinct media can confront, complement and challenge each other. Through the juxtaposition of collages, photography, works on paper, painting and digital painting, the exhibition delves into questions of permanence versus impermanence, precision versus spontaneity in a world saturated with digital.
The works invite the viewer to reflect on the tactile versus the virtual, also celebrating the imperfections of matter together with the clarity of digital images. This comparison highlights how each medium reshapes our perception of reality and artistic expression in the modern era.
The idea was born from the need to reflect on making art, inviting viewers to pay attention to the medium and the process of creating the work in its various aspects. Because no message, no idea can ignore the body of the work and its physical manifestation. This incarnation in the medium identifies the message and in the case of this exhibition the focus is precisely on the dialogue used by the artist to express himself. The physicality, the manual process and the imperfections create a sense of uniqueness on what is not reproducible. The personal connection with the work produces empathy in the viewer, while the dematerialization of the digital lends itself to a different aesthetic.
Geometric perfections and irregular shapes, technological aesthetics and the use of Artificial Intelligence contribute to establishing a narrative between different ways of approaching art. Not only, therefore, a comparison of techniques, but above all a reflection on the relationship between tradition and innovation, past and future.
While digital software allows you to explore infinite styles and textures without physical limits, allowing immediate correction without the risk of irreversible errors, painting and the use of matter instead require time and sensorial connection. The bridge between digital and physical is the strength of the idea and creation. The fusion between these two worlds then allows artists to expand the boundaries of their creativity by blending the warmth of matter with the precision of technology.
